The Logic
Gross Weight: The weight of the battery with acid/water.
Net Weight: The dry lead weight (after deduction).
Rate: Price per Kg of Lead.
Recording a Scrap Purchase
1Go to Purchases > New Purchase.
2Toggle switch to "Scrap / Old Battery".
3Item: Select "Scrap Battery" (or specific type).
4Input Fields:
Total Weight: e.g., 500 Kg.
Deduction %: e.g., 20% (for water/plastic).
Net Weight: Auto-calculated (400 Kg).
Rate: e.g., Rs. 250 / Kg.
5Total Bill: 400 * 250 = Rs. 100,000.
Buying Scrap (Lead)
This is a unique feature of the battery business. You buy dead batteries ("Raddi") from customers or junk dealers.
The Logic
Scrap is bought by Weight, not just quantity.
Gross Weight: The weight of the battery with acid/water.
Net Weight: The dry lead weight (after deduction).
Rate: Price per Kg of Lead.

Always double-check the current market Lead Rate before confirming a large purchase.
